Be clear about what this is before you book it. Oimo-Tash is a 48-yurt resort on the Kaji-Say highway, taking up to 150 guests, with a private bathroom and heated floor in every yurt, panoramic windows, a private terrace, a kitchen nook with sink and bottled water, hairdryer and toiletries, Starlink wi-fi and a restaurant seating around 155. It is the most comfortable yurt stay on the south shore and the only one in this dataset with a full published tariff and year-round opening — genuinely useful if you want the shape of a yurt without the pit-toilet reality, or if you are travelling with people who would not tolerate the latter. It is not, however, a jailoo camp: nobody is herding anything, and the atmosphere is a lakeside hotel that happens to be round. Activities are arranged rather than incidental — horse riding at $15 an hour, a folklore show bookable at $200, volleyball, a beach zone and a fire pit. Booking is by online form or email only; Ak-Sai states it does not accept phone bookings. Caveats: altitude and languages are not published, and the guest review base is thin — five reviews for a camp of this size — so there is little independent read on service.
