Agat is a small camp at Kaji-Say on the southern shore, and its distinguishing detail is the yurts themselves: they are handmade by the craftsmen of Kyzyl-Tuu, the south-shore village that is Kyrgyzstan's centre of yurt-making, so the frames and felt are the real article rather than a tourist approximation. Six rooms in total, in two- and four-person yurts, 150 metres from a sand beach, with a sauna and swimming pool on site, a guarded compound and free parking. National cuisine and drinks are available. Be aware that this is a thin listing and we are not going to pretend otherwise: nothing is published about toilets, showers, electricity, wi-fi, heating, the season window or languages spoken, and the camp shows a Travelers' Choice badge alongside zero posted guest reviews, which is a contradiction worth treating sceptically rather than as a recommendation. The price band is TripAdvisor's own averaging across standard rooms, spanning more than a factor of two, so it tells you very little — ask the camp directly. Come with the assumption that facilities are basic and confirm the essentials before you commit, particularly if you need a hot shower.
