Boz-Uchuk is a two-season camp and unusual for it. In summer it is a stop on the Ak-Suu Transverse, about 15 km on from the Terim-Tor camp, and the base for walking up to the Boz-Uchuk lakes that give the valley its name. In winter it markets itself to experienced ski tourers and splitboarders, on the strength of untouched terrain and reliable snow — very few yurt camps in Kyrgyzstan operate in the cold half of the year at all, and fewer still to that audience, so if you are planning a ski-touring trip this is a name worth having.
